AI for Marketing (free workshop)

If you can replace all or the majority of your marketing team with AI tools without sacrificing the quality too much, that’s the number one sign you have a terrible marketing strategy.

AI tools aren’t a replacement for great marketers. They are a tool that both marketers and founders can use to become”superhuman”—to speed up our processes, extend the capacity of our brains, and smooth out the process of running a remote business.

I’ve been experimenting with AI tools since the GPT-2 days. I love improving my own systems and processes with the help of AI.

There are surprisingly few AI use cases shared online. (99% of the "few use cases" out there are along the lines of “50 new AI tools that you have to try” and “how to produce hundreds of thousands of pages of poorly edited AI content that will net you almost no qualified traffic or conversions. Neither of which are particularly helpful in my experience.)

So, I’m sharing how I think about and am using AI in my workflow. No tool talk or questionable content volume plays here! All the details below.

As a copywriter, I've seen my fair share of marketing copy buzzwords that need to be banished to the deepest depths of the internet. Remember the '90s when adding "cyber" made everything cool? Both humans and AI bots are guilty of overusing today’s buzzwords, and it’s time we called them out. Let’s dive in. Elevate // Supercharge // Unlock - These verbs are often used as a crutch that both LLMs and marketers can’t resist. Let’s retire these filler words already. Democratize / Revolutionary -...

Public speaking used to terrify me, but the more I’ve done it, the more I’ve learned to enjoy the process of not only creating but also presenting a conference talk. And I believe that every founder, executive, and manager can benefit from giving at least one conference talk. Now, I'm not a professional speaker, but last month, I gave my fifth in-person conference talk, and I've probably given or moderated close to a hundred talks for virtual conferences, webinars, and workshops. Here are...

For all of the talk about AI, there are surprisingly few examples of how companies and individuals are actually using it. I've been looking everywhere for this information and haven't had much luck. So, I decided to do something about it and hosted my own AI for marketing free workshop a couple of weeks ago. AI doesn't replace human creativity. It amplifies it. In fact, we've all stumbled upon those websites with content that feels... well, robotic. That's what happens when you let AI run...
